He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Michael Locke. He is survived by: his parents, Donnie Shores, Sr. and Debbie Cassidy of Alford; his wife Charlotte of Cottondale; his children, Ryan Shores, Jordan Shores (Kelsey), Leighann Shores, Michael Joseph Shores, Donnie Ray Shores, III and Ashton Avery Shores; his siblings, Angela Dawn Shores, Dana Shores Fleck (Jason) and Danny Shores (Candace); his grandchildren, Karsyn Jean Shores and Amani Perry; his stepsister Michelle Cumbie (Gary); and his close friend Wesley Sellers.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home (3960 W Lafayette St, Marianna, FL 32446). A burial was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Cottondale First Baptist Church Cemetery (2330 Lovewood Rd, Cottondale, FL 32431).
