He is survived by: his wife Myra Phillips Hurst; his children, Melanie Cruz, Suzanne Hurst, Jeannie Whitehead (Tim) and Jaret Smith (Fern); his grandchildren, Ryan Braddock, Triston Cruz, Adain Cruz, Caitlin Hurst, Nathanial Hurst, Daniel Hurst, Tyeler Whitehead (Karlie), Toby Whitehead, Jade Tijerina (Danny) and Hannah Smith; his great grandchildren, Mo Jo Braddock, Audrey Tijerina, Annaleigh Tijerina, Alyssanndra Tijerina and Aizlee Tijerina; and his siblings, Jennifer Bennett, Pat Hurst (Janet), Allen Hurst (Kathy) and Dale Hurst (Margeret).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (3172 Main St, Cottondale, FL 32431). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (2555 Kynesville Rd, Cottondale, FL 32431).
