He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Wheeler and Sylvia Wheeler; and his sisters, Ruth Wheeler, Rita Shannonbrook and Debbie Wheeler.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Wheeler; his children, Tim Wheeler (Nora) of Middleberg, FL and Jackie Hale (Greg) of Orange Park, FL; his sisters, Ester Evans of Washington State and Nancy Ramquist of Oregon; his grandchildren, Sarah Jane Cox (Dan) of Long Beach, CA and Kenneth Wheeler (Lindsey) of Melbourne Beach, FL; his great grandchildren, Ella Meadow Wheeler, River and Forest Cox; his cousin Gary Wheeler; and his caregiver Kathy Nelson Roberts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
