She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie Pack and Verna Goodin Pack; her son George Michael Thornton; and her siblings, Judy Burrell and Lonnie Pack.

She is survived by : her daughter Teresa Thornton; her grandson Jeremy Libert; her nieces, Charlene Greer, Tina Rich, Debbie Reels and Melissa Brown; and her aunt Elizabeth Williams. She is also survived by nieces and nephew; a host of cousins, as well as numerous friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at the Roselawn Cemetery.
