She was predeceased by: her parents, William John Wohnoutka and Helena Therese Frank Wohnoutka; her husband Augustus Chris Berninger; her daughter Helen Michelle (Shelly); and her siblings, Robert, Gerald, James, Gregory Wohnoutka and Therese Kragenbring.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Earle (Don) and Steven (Suzanne); her grandsons, Christopher (Elyse) and Charles (Sarah); her sisters, Margaret Bergo (Dick), Betty Dubert (Marvin), Dianne Nichols (Allan), Karen Barta (Dennis) and Debra Kull (Lionel); and her sisters-in-law, Diane, Sue, Kathy, Rebecca Wohnoutka and Jane Adams. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Big Bend Hospice.
