We announce the death of Sharon Cummings of Crescent City, Florida, born in Delaware, Ohio, who passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her husband William Vernette "Bim" Cummings; her parents, Leonard Powell and Ann Powell; and her sister Sarah Mae Powell. She is survived by: her children, Jeremy Wain Cummings (Kimberly) of Orange City, Dawn Renee Emery (Shane) of Deltona and Chad William Cummings of Crescent City; her brothers, Robert Powell (Janice) and David Powell (Connie); her grandchildren, Brianna Cummings, Amber Nejjari, Austin Emery, Ethan Emery, Kai Cummings, Caiden Emery, River Cummings, Chloe Cummings, Caleb Kirk and Emmalise Nejjari; and her great grandchildren, Chase Emery, Madeline Emery and Kylee Emery. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon's children are asking those who wish to honor her memory to consider supporting one of two causes that were close to her heart: Donations may be made to Sharon's Home Fund to help maintain her home as a safe and secure place for the family she protected for so long.
