She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Brooks and Essie Mae Walker Brooks; her daughter Michelle Bowen; her grandson Preston Medley; her siblings, Jack, Harold, Johnny Mack Brooks, Peggy and Mary Creel; and her brother-in-law Robert Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Stacey McDonald (Ashley), Greg McDonald (Cendy), Steven McDonald (Joyce), Shawn McDonald (Kim), Jason McDonald (Sarah) and Joyce McDonald; her sisters, Sandra Raybon (Norman) and Deloris Cox; and her sister-in-law Clara Brooks. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
