We bid farewell to Darrell Smith (Crestview, Florida), born in Portsmouth, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Darrell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Mildred Smith; and his sister-in-law Patti Barrow Weatherford. He is survived by: his wife Susan Barrow Smith; his children, Lee, Debra Smith, David and Jacque Smith; his grandchildren, Cody, Haley Smith, Caroline and Jonathan Smith; his siblings, Don Smith (Joan), Melanie Riley (Jim), Bill Smith (Bev), Herb Smith and Carol Lutz; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Rutledge (Summer), Stephen Barrow (Janet) and Kerry Weatherford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (599 8th Ave, Crestview, FL 32536). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Methodist Church Memorial Fund in memory of Darrell.
