He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Mazerat and Florence Mazerat; his wife Loretta Mazerat; his great grandchild James Ryan Labado; and his sister Joann Kipper.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Shiver, Donald Mazerat (Sheryl), Michael Mazerat, René Labado (Lynn) and Richard Mazerat; and his brother James Mazerat. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
