He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Compton and Elvina Thomas of Bunkie, Louisiana.; his sons, Chris Henry and John-Douglas Compton (Danette); his wife Sherrell; his grandchildren, Carmelita, LayLani, Tatiana, Malachi, Anna and LaKele; and his nephews, Stephen and David Knight. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
