He is survived by : his wife Janet Rogers of Navarre, Florida; his children, Elaine Beckley of California and Jeffery Carter of Georgia; his siblings, Laurie Fikes (Buck) of Maumelle, Debbie Kern of Shalimar, Donnie Carter of New Orleans, Karen Witte (John) of Pantego, Mike Carter (Tammy) of Flatwoods and Kevin Carter of Nyack; and also Kathy Montgomery (Chris) of Granberry, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
