He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emory Wayne Tompkins and Adeline Sue Eilers; his wife Monica Tompkins; his son Calvin Tompkins of Rock Falls, Illinois.; his stepchildren, Bob Miller (Gena) of Holt and Lisa Hicks (Josh) of Dothan, Alabama.; and his siblings, Ellen Wagner (Steve) of Sterling, Illinois., Pennie Shipley (Neal) of Sterling, Illinois. and Pat Tompkins of Sterling, Illinois.. He was also cherished by two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, whose compassionate workers provided invaluable support during Mark's final days.
