He is survived by: his wife Betty Valentine Cannon; his children, James Cannon, Elaine O'Neal and Dana Cannon; his granddaughters, Brandi O'Neal (Beau) and Katie O'Neal (Billy); his great grandchildren, Brena Walker and Biloxi Walker; and his siblings, Thomas Cannon (Susan), Michael Cannon (Sheila) and Helen Forehand.
