She was predeceased by: her parents, R. L. Davis and Laura Mae Davis; her husband Donald Cannon; and her siblings, Benny Davis, Jr., Jessie Davis and Vertie Mae Palmer of Dixie County, Florida..

She is survived by: her siblings, Ed Davis of Dixie County, Lewis Davis (Lisa) of Dixie County and Wanda Whetsell (John) of Cumming; her daughters, Teresa Fowler (Buddy) of Dixie County, Laura Langford (Robbie) of Dixie County and Dorine Dykes (Paul) of Dixie County; and her stepchildren, Donna Jean Forehand of Dixie County, Annie Mae Brannin of Dixie County, Freeman Cannon of Dixie County and Bill Lee of Dixie County. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to support Romie's great-granddaughter, Laci Osteen and her cause, which was very meaningful to her. Please see a family member to donate.
