He is survived by: his children, Douglas Rubel of Roanoke, Virginia, Jeff Rubel (Michael Inoye) of Seattle, Washington, Cindy Bridges (John) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Craig Rubel and Matthew Cummings of Indianapolis, Indiana; his stepsons, Kelly Rittenhouse (Patty) of Hastings and Mitch Rittenhouse (Margaret) of Scottsdale, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Joshua Treft (Danielle) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Justin Treft (Merissa), Chelsea Hart (Nathan) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Amanda Rubel of Morrisville, Emma Bruening (Dan) and Anna Rubel of Huntersville; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Mya, Aiden, Tenley, Kelleah, Ava, Mackenzie, Hayden, Robin, Amelia, Isla and Michael.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15th 2027 at 1:00 PM at the Hodges Family Funeral Home (11441 US-301, Dade City, FL 33525).
