He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Gladys Beard; his wife Mary Boyden Brett; his father Richard Albert Brett; and his brother Paul Beard Brett. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Kushner (Les) and Carole Zimmerman (Peter). He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions, may be made to the Carl Brett and Dorothy Kushner Film Fund at Florida State University, a scholarship for students in the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts.
