James Peabody wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was one of my favorite people. I worked with Ed when he was Chief Pilot at Amerijet, and, in fact, he hired me there. He was a true gentleman; a great aviator, and he never hesitated to tell a good story. His love of aviation and encyclopedic knowledge of all thing's having to do with airplanes was truly amazing. He shall be truly missed. Jim and Kay Peabody”
