He was predeceased by : his son William Herdean; his parents, George Herdean and Ileana Herdean; his brother George Herdean; his sister-in-law Cornelia Herdean; his niece Florica Ferche; and his parents-in-law, Teofil Talpesh and Deborah Talpesh.

He is survived by : his wife Evangeline Herdean; his daughter Evangeline Oanta; his son-in-law Ruben Oanta; his grandchildren, Mia and Ellie; his sister Florica Lazureanu; his brother-in-law Florin Lazureanu; his brother Neculae Herdean; and his siblings-in-law, Florica Herdean, Florence Matcau, Petrica Matcau, Doru Talpesh and Wendy Talpesh. He is also survived by children and grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews, their spouses and children, other family, and friends.
