With sadness, we share the passing of Evelyn A. Shock of Daytona Beach, Florida. Evelyn, born on February 1, 1929, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William H. Shock; her parents, William J. Reed and Ethel E. Reed; her brother David Reed; and her granddaughters, Jessyca Stephenson and Marissa Scarpinato.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Franko (Mary Rose) of Buffalo, NY, Lyn Hibbert (William) of Ponce Inlet, FL, William M. Shock (Martha) of Deltona, FL, Susan Stephenson (Mark) of Roseville, CA, Judith Scarpinato (Jeffrey) of Parrish, FL and Thomas Shock (Gail) of Conway, SC; her grandchildren, Anthony (Stefanie), Michael Franko, Matthew DeLisio (Lesley), John Tyler, Jason Shock, Ryan Stephenson, John Scarpinato (Maggie), Tori Flattery (Tim), Mary, Michael Scarpinato (Alicia), Ashley, Amy Shock, Tabatha Baum-Blanchard (Steven), Brianna Burnup-Brewer (Justin), Savanna Burnup, Robert and Michael Shedlock; and her brother William Reed (Sara Jo). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater II Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (330 3rd Ave, Carnegie, PA 15106).
