Fred T. Chambers Obituary
We bid farewell to Fred T. Chambers of Daytona Beach, Florida, born in Wheeling, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Fred touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Chambers and Genevieve Chambers (Brown); and his son Eric. He is survived by: his wife Jerry Chambers (Lynch); his children, Jamie Johnson (Brent) of Venetia, PA, Lance Chambers (Laurie) of Nashville, TN and Melissa Wright (Jeff) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Tanner, Parker Johnson, Megan, Molly Chambers, Brooks, Grayson and Finley Wright; and his sisters, Jeannine McGhee (Chambers) and Jennifer Ficca (Ronnie) of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home (1245 Main St, Follansbee, WV 26037). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred's memory to the West Liberty University Basketball or Baseball Teams or Halifax Health Hospice, C/o James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037.
