She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Margaret Phelps; her children, Christea Byrne (Frederick Race (Delray), Thomas Byrne III (Ellen (Avon), Tracy Parent (Jaime (Deerfield Beach), Timothy Byrne (Sarah (Coral Springs), Michael Byrne of Avon, CT, Joanne Sylvia (Doug (Windsor Locks), Christopher Byrne of Knoxville, TN, James Smith (Heather Munigle (West) and Andrew Smith of West Hartford, CT; her grandchildren, Nicholas Malinosky (Katherine), Timothy Malinosky (Bridgette Barbato), Kelsey Byrne, Brendan Parent (Isabel Sanchez), Bryan Parent, Christea Parent, Holly Sutton (Malory), Devin Byrne (Brady Wilde), Colin, Emily, Meghan, Kasey Byrne, Kevin Byrne (Noelle Wolan), Joseph Sylvia (Elizabeth), Lauren, Griffin, Lola, Hayden and Bode Smith; her great grandchildren, Annika, Maisie, Millie, Henrik Malinosky, Tegan Byrne-Burch and Charlotte Sylvia; her sister Dr. Judith P. LaVorgna; and her husband Ronald I. Smith. She was also cherished by cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Peter Claver Church (47 Pleasant St, West Hartford, CT 06107). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery.
