She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Francis Sheppard and Rubye Alice Dempsey Sheppard; her former life partner Jimmy Turner; her husband Edsel Thomaston; and her siblings, Charlie, Milton, Harvel, Dan Sheppard and Rita Sheppard.
She is survived by : her children, Joyce Brandon (Tom) of Texas and Philip Turner of Robertsdale, Alabama; her grandson Keith Brandon of Texas; and her sister Mary Ann Davis of Tallahassee, Florida..
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to Indian Creek Baptist Church at 3964 County Hwy 280A DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435 Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
