He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Calter Barrett and Dorothy Irene Theroux Barrett; his sister Beverly Trotman; his wife Mary Frances Barrett; and his stepson James Manning.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Joseph Evans (Dana Kay Evans) of Liberty, Florida, Jackie Manning Adams (Ricky Adams) of Paxton and Janet Evans of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his stepgrandchildren, Randa Schumacher (Greg) of Kauai, Magen Adams Moore (Garrett) of Paxton and Wesley Evans (Catrina) of Liberty, Florida; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Wyatt Evans, Lillian Evans and Bristol Moore; and his siblings, Pat Burkett of North Carolina and Eugene Robert Barrett (Bucky) of North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
