He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurdis Padgett and Cora Lee Wooten Padgett; his son Todd Padgett; and his brother Johnny Hugh Padgett. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Padgett; his siblings-in-law, Ann Padgett, Curtis Johnson, Franklin Burnett (Phyllis), Melissa Brown, Shirley Yawn (Lamar), Helen Williams and Horace Burnett (Cynthia); and his friend Keith Spence. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
