He was predeceased by : his parents, Nathe Johnson and Mary Johnson; his brother Joe Johnson; his wife Linda Johnson; and his son Daniel Johnson.

He is survived by : his daughter-in-law Suzanne Johnson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his grandsons, Logan Johnson (Paige) of DeFuniak Springs and Brandon Johnson (Faith) of Lakeland, Florida; and his nieces, Debbie Thain (Buster) of Baytown, Brenda Beauchamp (Ken) of Baytown and Jamie Johnson of San Diego, California.
