It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James K. McFatter of Defuniak Springs, Florida, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ranzy McFatter and Mae McFatter; his siblings, T. L. McFatter and E. Adkinson; and his son Kenny Earl McFatter.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Michael McFatter, John Nolan, Cheryl Nolan-Cazes and Tina Williams; and his grandchildren, Ciara, Sable, Christie, Jessica, John, Ashley, Haley and Caleb.

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home (1068 Main St, Chipley, FL 32428). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Bonnett Pond Community Church (2680 Bonnett Pond Rd, Chipley, FL 32428).

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Shriner's Children Hospital in Tampa, Florida are appreciated by the family.
