It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Rayburn Scott of Defuniak Springs, Florida, born in Orlando, Florida, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Scott, Sr. and Jacqueline Dettling Scott; his brother Jeffery Harrison; and his stepfather Glen Harrison, Sr.. He is survived by : his significant other April Permenter; his daughters, Candace Johnson (James) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Melissa Scott of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Rachel Scott (John Roberts) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his grandchildren, Logan Hicks, Legend Roberts and Holley Johnson; his close friends, Donald Scott, Jr. of Trussville and Glen Harrison (Mary Rae) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and his sister Jennie Jones of Orlando. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
