It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip R Canterbury Sr. of Defuniak Springs, Florida, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Canterbury and Marie Canterbury; his former wife Marion T. Canterbury; his siblings, Marvin Canterbury and Connie Canterbury (Samples); and his daughter Teresa Canterbury (Bartley).

He is survived by: his wife Melinda Canterbury; his children, Philip R. Canterbury, Jr. (Michelle) and Elizabeth M. Childree (Will); his brother Rick Canterbury; his siblings-in-law, Maxine Marotzke, Jerry, Vic and Ken Guerrero; his extended family, Tommy and Rose Nixon; Gaige, Sydney, Cameron Nixon and Kinsley Nixon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
