With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sheila Kate Clenney of Defuniak Springs, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sheila Kate left this world on July 23, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Belvin Gainey and Lalar Idell Adkison Gainey; her husband Harry Sherman Clenney; her son Jerry Clenney; her great grandchild Zachariah Nance; and her siblings, Ether Lee Stuart and Leon Gainey.
She is survived by: her children, John Q. Clenney, Sr. (Christine Mills) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Chevelle Nance of DeFuniak Springs; her sister Clarice Rushing; and her grandchildren, James Nance (Jessica), Josh Clenney, John Clenney (Cori), Jonathan Clenney and Josilynn Clenney. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel (230 Park Ave, Defuniak Springs, FL 32435).
