He is survived by: his wife Edna Johnson Spears; his daughters, Nina Outlaw (Travis), Amanda Blackmon (Lamont) and Jessica Gentry (James); his grandchildren, Angel McCafferty (Troy), Dustin Simmons (Kenya), Brittney Anderson, Breeanna Van Meer, Lathan Gentry and Charlee Outlaw; his great grandchildren, Damon McCafferty, Nora Mae McCafferty, Zhya Simmons and Koa Simmons; and his brother Ottis Qualls (Mildred). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
