It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Emmons (Deland, Florida), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Karen C Shea and Graham Z Curry; her husband Walter Emmons; her children, Ashley Echlov (Austin), David, Joseph and Julia; her siblings, Robin Colwell (Washington DC), Timothy Shea Jr. (Kate) and Matthew Shea; and her stepfather Timothy Shea Sr. (Karen Shea).

A prayer will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St Peter Catholic Church (359 New York Ave W, DeLand, FL 32720). A Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

“Have known Carmen over 30 years and went to school with her and her sister Robin. Both sweet and caring ladies to know and both always willing to help. She always had kind words to say and always so encouraging. Carmen had a smile that would light up a room. We spent many times crafting. We met for breakfast or lunch and we prayed together about something bothering me. My heart is with the Emmons family and Shea family. Heaven has truly gained an angel. Prayers for comfort ! 🙏🙏❤️❤️💔🪽😇”
