He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bird and Hazel Bird (Stoddard); and his siblings, Bob, Elmer and Mavis.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Carter; his daughters, Carolyn Spradley and Lori Boothe (Chris); his grandchildren, Stephen, Rebecca, Kylie and Hannah; his great grandchild Kyndall; and his sister Arlene Reynolds. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
