He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Frances Lockard Gurnow; his sister Julie Mathis; and his stepfather Joseph Gurnow. He is survived by: his siblings, Suzanne Mathis (Ariel Oren), Mark Mathis and Matt Gurnow; his nephews, Nathan Estes and Josh Estes; his niece Sarah Phillips; his cousins, Bonnie Tobias and Debbie Rehder; and his friend Kim Booker.
