It is with sadness that the passing of Deborah M. Simmons-Thomas (Deland, Florida) is shared. Deborah, born on December 7, 1952 in Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on October 3, 2026. She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Simmons, Sr. and Irene Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Julius Thomas; her sons, Troy Simmons and Sargent Marcus Simmons; her brother James E. Simmons, Jr. of Daytona Beach, FL; her siblings-in-law, Ethel Thomas of DeLand, FL, Rosilyn Thomas of Atlanta, GA. and Morris Thomas, Jr. (Frances) of Ocala, FL.; and her caregiver Erlene Graham. She is also survived by nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 226 E Howry Ave, DeLand, FL 32720. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
