He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Louise Gillette and James Ivy Gillette; and his sisters, Maxine Cyrus and Lucille Glunt. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his siblings, Joseph Russell Gillette and Marlene Carroll; his children, James Thoman (Lorna), Wayne Thoman (Helene), Kathleen Johnson (Dave) and Carol Ann Driggers (Stacy); his grandchildren, Galadriel Thoman, Jamie Cayton (Mark), Kevin Gillette (Gabrielle), Virginia Whitmore (Kraig), Elizabeth Johnson and James Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Dunthyon Thoman, William Thoman, Carlie Cayton, Brayden Cayton and Victoria Whitmore. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
