She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmett Seale and Eugenia Seale; her husband John Odatus Shannon; her former life partner Roger R. Meeks, Sr.; and her sons, John Odatus Shannon III and Patrick Michael Shannon.

She is survived by : her daughters, Jeanda Ward and Seale George (Hank); her stepdaughter Michele Leppert (Denny); and her daughter-in-law Beth Shannon. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
