Polly Gunby Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Polly Gunby in Deland, Florida, who passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Polly leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Polly may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Frances and Edward Nash Philpot. She is survived by: her spouse Ensign David Kirk Gunby III; her son David Kirk Gunby IV; her daughter-in-law Megan Welch Gunby; and her grandchildren, David Kirk Gunby V and Lillian Elizabeth Gunby (Lilly).
