She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Hoffman and Walter Hoffman; her siblings, John, Elizabeth, Lorraine and Walter Jr.; and her husband Clyde Wayne Field.

She is survived by: her daughter Joanna Field Oostwouder; her son-in-law Dr. Peter Oostwouder; and her grandchildren, Christina, Cornelius, Emily and Andrew.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel - DeLand (126 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Allen - Summerhill Memorial Chapel (126 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724).

Honoring her love of children and sharing the word, in her honor, Ruth also requested no flowers, but instead that those who wish to could donate an extra box to Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan's Purse this upcoming season.
