Thomas L. Smith Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas L. Smith (Deland, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Robert E. Smith; his children, Clayton, Amy, Taylor, Rhonda, Sandy, Lisa and Lindsey; his wife Sue Monti Smith; his close friends, Clayton Smith (Julie Pangborn), Amy Sanchez (Diego Sanchez), Taylor Smith (Danielle Smith), Rhonda Monti (Adam Kisthardt), Sandy Smith (Mike Smith), Lisa Monti and Lindsey Monti; his grandchildren, Izabelle Sanchez, Mackenzie Sanchez, Arianna Sanchez, Blakeley Smith, Liam Smith, Brayden Twilley (Jamie Twilley), Kenly Laughridge, Aiden Pierson, Connor Pierson, Ellie Smith and Owen Smith; his great grandchildren, Beckham Twilley, Hazen Twilley and Bennett Twilley; and his siblings, Margaret Bennett, Mike Smith, Doug Smith (Sue Ellen Smith), Jim Smith (Paulette Smith) and Joe Smith (Janice Smith). He was also cherished by his loving wife, his siblings, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be made to First Church Deland in honor of Tom.
