He was predeceased by: his son Ryan Lavanco. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Sweeney Lavanco; his daughters, Laurel Heuer (Al Heuer), Donna Edwards (Ron Edwards) and Carla Lavanco (Jim Henahan); and his grandchildren, Casandra Middings and Gina Edwards.
His greatest joy came from his family gatherings and the traditional, yearly Christmas celebration at home where he would regale the family with his contribution to the feast of his famous stuffed artichokes.
