He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Benowits and Helen Benowits; and his brother Arnold Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Bennett; his children, Julie Bennett Pere (David Pere) and Michael Bennett (Bonnie Bennett); his grandsons, Brett Pere (Drew), Adam Pere, Brady Pere (Natalie), Kevin Pere, Dylan and Shawn Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Sophie and Casey Pere.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Beth Israel Memorial Chapel (5808 W Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33484). An entombment was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Eternal Light Memorial Gardens (11520 FL-7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473).
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to Shriner's Children's Hospital in St. Louis are preferred in honor of his grandson Shawn's success story. Contributions to an Alzheimer's Foundation would be appreciated as well.
