She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Matthew and Golda Neace Booher; her husband Bernard Shell, Jr.; her son Bernard Shell, III (Barry); and her siblings, Regene Booher, Joann Isaacs and Sharon Smith.
She is survived by: her nieces, Vicki Greene of South Charleston, WV, Stephanie Currie of New Orleans, LA and Valerie Southerland of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
