He was predeceased by: his son Laurence Merrick Portnoy; his siblings, Marilyn Glass, Joyce Markowitz and Michael Portnoy; and his parents, Irving Portnoy and Rose Portnoy.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Lynn Blumen (Russ), Jaime Levin (Mark) and Penny Maun (Rich); and his grandchildren, Matthew Blumen, Jared Blumen, Cameron Levin, Drew Levin, Jordan Maun, Becca Maun and Bailey Maun.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Palm Beach National Chapel (10055 Heritage Farms Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33449). A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the South Florida National Cemetery (6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Delray Beach VA Clinic or the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
