He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Valentín-Caló; his son Benjamin Valentín Calo; his parents, Elvira Valentin and Providencio Valentin; his siblings, Providencio "Prudy", Evangelina "Vangie" and Jorge Valentin; his grandson-in-law Perry Li; and his great grandchild Francesco "Frankie" Vigorito.
He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Valentín-Soto; his children-in-law, Orlando Soto and Kathleen Valentín; his siblings, Ángel and Jesús "Chu" Valentín Sierra; and his grandchildren, Jeanette Vigorito (Frank), Lynette Quiles-Li, Benjamin III, Haylee Springer (John), Ashley Bittinger (Brandon), Anastasia Gerber (Ryan), Phillip Hernandez, Orlando Jr. Soto (Viviana) and Carla Soto. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Deltona Memorial Funeral Home (1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754).
