He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stewart and Vera Schoonover Stewart; and his daughter Lydia Stewart. He is survived by: his significant other Phyllis Charette Stewart; his sons, Buddy Stewart (Shasta) and John Stewart (Kelly); and his sister Wanda Owens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karl's memory to the Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
