She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Dorsey; and her daughters, Mary (Ollie) and Marla. She is survived by: her significant other James Cole (Jim); her sisters, Sherry Kersey and Brenda Cline; her son Brian Thomasand; her daughter-in-law Ginger Thomas; her stepdaughters, Jennifer Aycock and Janet Cole; and her grandchildren, Ansley McAteer, Nathaniel Thomas (Nathan), Madison Thomas (Madi), Jonathan Thomas (Jace), Perrin Aycock and James Cole (JP).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marla's memory to the American Cancer Society.
