She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Thomas and Mollie Maude Cates (Pedigo); her son William Edward, Jr.; and her siblings, Thomas Arthur Cates, Charlotte Jean Burke and Maxine "Tudie" Wicke.

She is survived by : her husband William Edward Zelinko, Sr.; her children, John Arthur Zelinko, Susan Lynn Valerio (Eduardo), Lois Lee Williams (Arthur), Ruth Annette Blissett (Douglas), Carol Jane Schirr (Don), Kathleen Marie Lanier (Shelby) and Julie Janel Fuller (Bill); and her brother John D. Cates (Loraine).
