James left this world on March 14, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Rachelle (Troy White) and Jim Schiavi; his grandchildren, Steven Plaskett (Maddie), Jaxson White and Alexis Schiavi; and his brothers, Arthur Merritt (Mary) and Carl Merritt (Nancy).
