He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Burdette and Dorothy Burdette; his brothers, Robert and Larry Burdette; his son James Anthony Burdette; his wife Gwendolyn; his children, Angela "Elizabeth" Allsbury (James), Amanda Vincent (Michael) and Jamie Alexander Burdette; and his sisters, Helen Walker (Leo) and Beverly Cox (Bobby).
