He was predeceased by: his son Zachary G Scheetz; his parents, John E Scheetz and Beatrice Scheetz (Leuz); his sister Debra Bender (Scheetz); and his father-in-law George Rach.
He is survived by: his wife Francia Scheetz (Rach); his sons, John E Scheetz III (Eiron) and Austin L Scheetz; his brother Russell Scheetz; his mother-in-law Joyce Rach; and his siblings-in-law, Sandi (Barry) Becton (Rach), George Rach (Jeanette) and Anthony Rach (Barb).
